Growth rate abroad was tripled
“We are proud that this year again we can report such positive growth rates”, says DELO Managing Partner Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Herold. “In our domestic market Germany we could grow by nearly 4 percent. The growth rate in foreign markets amounts to 27 percent – a triplication compared to last year. In the meantime, 62 percent of our total sales revenues are generated abroad”.
In order to further strengthen the company’s standing in Asia, DELO Industrial Adhesives (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. was found as an own subsidiary on December 1, 2012, followed by DELO Industrial Adhesives (Shanghai), Co. Ltd. in China on March 27, 2013.
Sustainable business management creates more jobs
DELO’s growth and success are also reflected in the number of employees. 350 people were employed as per the end of the fiscal year, which are 50 more than in the previous year. In particular new jobs were created in the divisions of Engineering, Research & Development, Production and Technology. DELO is planning to hire another 90 employees this year.
Strengthening of the capacities at Windach headquarters
DELO is still loyal to Germany as a location. The company will continue conducting its business from Windach in the future. Innovative adhesives, curing lamp and dispensing units will still be developed and produced there. For this purpose, the Managing Partners Sabine and Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Herold, together with Federal Minister of Economics Dr. Philipp Rösler, inaugurated a new laboratory building for a total of 130 further employees. At the same time, a new production and logistics center is being built. Commissioning of the new building is being planned for coming fall.
