All you need to know
New talent is always welcome at DELO. Whether you're looking for your first job after completing your studies or bring several years of experience, feel free to apply as we are seeking a diverse mix for our growing team.
Application Process
We are looking for the best match for our team — both professionally and personally. Our application process includes several steps to ensure that we find the best fit for both sides. Click on the numbers for more details.
1. We meet virtually.
In a first interview via Microsoft Teams you will meet the hiring manager as well as an HR representative. For vacation jobs, thesis positions, and internships, the interview process usually consists of a single virtual interview.
2. We meet on site.
In the next step, you will meet your potential colleagues on site. Depending on the position, you may also participate in a trial work session or a technical exchange. It is important to us that our current employees can envision working with the candidate in the future.
3. You meet our management.
A final interview with a member of the senior management team takes place on-site.
No matter the department candidates apply to, many ponder about similar questions. Our general FAQ, along with our application FAQ, should cover a lot of ground.
What are the working hours?
Full-time employees work 38.75 hours per week with flexible flextime arrangements. From Monday to Thursday, you are expected to work at least six hours a day, but on Fridays you can already start your weekend after just four hours. We make sure that work and private life can be well balanced.
Which departments have shift work and what shift model do you use?
In our production, we have a classic two-shift model (early and late shift, ending by 10 p.m.). There are no night shifts, and Saturday work (early shifts only) is rare. Our colleagues in maintenance and quality assurance also support our colleagues in production in shifts; here, the late shift already ends at 7 p.m.
What's the salary like?
We offer an attractive in-house compensation system that is aligned with market conditions and relevant collective agreements.
Is remote work / home office possible?
Yes, we offer home office options, which can vary depending on the department and the specific position.
What is the current housing situation in the region?
So far, all of our new colleagues have successfully found a place to live. Nearby, you’ll find smaller towns like Landsberg am Lech, Buchloe, and Fürstenfeldbruck, as well as larger cities such as Augsburg and Munich. There are also many villages in the area offering beautiful views of the Alps or lakes.
How's the public transport connection?
DELO is located directly on the A96 motorway (Schöffelding exit) and is easily accessible by car from all directions. Public transport is also available: for example, you can reach us by bus from Geltendorf S-Bahn station.
What can I expect during onboarding?
During your first two days, you will join other new colleagues for an introductory program. Various departments will introduce themselves, and you will get to know the company better through a guided tour.
How does training and induction work?
We make sure your onboarding is thorough and tailored to your role:
Additionally, you’ll be assigned a mentor from another department, who will support you during your onboarding and beyond. A detailed onboarding plan, customized to your position, will guide you throughout the first year.
Is the position advertised still open?
Yes, all job listings on our website are up to date, and we welcome your application. If you don't find a suitable position, we also encourage unsolicited applications.
How can I apply?
You are welcome to apply online using our application form and upload your documents.
Which documents should I submit?
Please enclose a CV (approx. 2 pages) as well as all relevant certificates relating to your education, training and references.
What stages are part of the application process?
Have you filled out the form, added attachments and submitted your application? Great! You will now receive a confirmation email. What happens next?
Please note: For vacation jobs, thesis positions, and internships, the interview process usually consists of a single virtual interview.
Can I speak to someone from the department in advance?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer calls with our specialist departments beforehand. However, if you get invited to an interview, you will get the chance to meet someone from the department and ask all of your questions.
Are school grades important for the application?
We generally seek candidates with good to excellent academic records. However, this does not preclude you from applying if your grades are average. In fact, if you find a job offer that resonates with you, we encourage you to apply. What matters most to us is the overall impression, rather than just grades. We highly value candidates who align with our work culture and can integrate well into the DELO team. Enthusiasm, commitment, camaraderie, and a respectful yet humorous demeanor are as important to us as deriving joy from your work.
Can I apply for two positions simultaneously?
Yes, you are welcome to apply for two positions at the same time. Please list all vacancies of interest in a single cover letter. One application is sufficient. Sending several applications will not increase your chances of being considered.
Will my application automatically be considered for other positions?
As we receive several thousands of applications a year, it is not always possible for us to check suitability for other positions, but we do try. Please give your consent in the online application form. From time to time, further job opportunities arise during the interview.
Can I apply if I prefer part-time work?
Our advertised positions are typically full-time. We usually offer part-time opportunities to our existing teams first. If a part-time position is available, it will be clearly indicated in the job listing.
Can I apply even if I don’t have any experience with adhesives?
Absolutely! Many of our new colleagues join us without any prior knowledge. To help you quickly become an adhesive expert, we offer extensive training programs that can last up to three months, depending on the job. Our DELO Academy takes care of everything for you.
