As a manufacturer of high-tech adhesives, we want to shape the future not only through innovation, but also sustainable development for our planet. That is why we produce our own green electricity, with a photovoltaic system installed throughout our rooftops, covering up to 1/3 of our electric capacity.
DELO's PV system has a peak output of 1.7 MW. This is roughly equivalent to the annual electricity requirements of 400 households. (Picture: DELO)
Having completed the installation of our new photovoltaic system, we at DELO took a monumental step towards our goal of climate neutrality.
Nearly 4,000 panels were placed across every rooftop on our campus in Windach. This system, which is connected to the public power grid, has a peak output of 1.7 megawatts, roughly the equivalent of 400 households. We will use this electricity ourselves, covering around 30% of our annual energy usage.

In completing this project, three factors were especially important to us:
In addition to this project, we are taking additional steps to be a more sustainable company. Planning for the next photovoltaics project is currently underway, which will consist of another system, installed on the upcoming warehouse building. It is projected to have a peak output of approximately 600 kilowatts.
