Innovative light-curing solutions

Our DELO KATIOBOND products come with different light curing mechanisms. This results in a wide range of process possibilities for our customers. Together we will find the best solution for your process.

• Direct light curing: In direct light curing, the adhesive is exposed to UV or visible light to trigger polymerization. This process is ideal for applications where immediate curing is required and allows precise control of the curing area.
• Preactivation with light: Preactivation, also known as living polymerization, allows the adhesive to be activated first. During the so-called open time, it retains its flowability, can be processed flexibly and subsequently cures completely at room temperature.
• Activation on the flow: With activation on the flow, light activation takes place inside a transparent dispensing tube during the dispensing process. This is particularly efficient and opens up new process possibilities. As the dispensed adhesive is already activated, it then also reliably cures in shadow zones and undercuts.
• Preactivation with subsequent light curing: Some systems contain both a light initiator for pre-activation and a UV initiator for direct light curing. This means that adhesives that have been pre-activated (e.g. via the activation on the flow process) can then also be cured quickly with UV light. This enables even faster further processing.
