Bonding of Displays
DELO offers adhesive solutions for display bonding within the automotive, industry, household and consumer sector. Our adhesives have excellent reliability in various ageing tests. Furthermore, they are characterized by high strength and flexibility at different temperatures and show very good adhesion to various plastics, glasses, metals and printed surfaces. They are designed to withstand fluctuations in temperature, as well as humidity, shock, vibrations, and impact loads.
Our adhesives for sealing display housings and enclosed structural bonding cure quickly via light with short cycle times and are resistant to dust and humidity. For head-up displays, our specially formulated adhesives enable fast production processes and effective bonding in housing components and mirrors. For bonding optical elements such as lenses, prisms and mirrors in Picture Generation Units (PGU), our light-curing adhesives offer dual curing options, low outgassing and high resistance to extreme conditions.
Our adhesives for edge sealing offer fast processing, high media resistance and water tightness. In addition, we offer adhesives for bonding HMI operating elements, which are characterized by fast light-curing and robustness during temperature fluctuations.
Frame and Housing
DELO offers adhesive solutions for the structural bonding of displays to frames and/or housings in various applications.
Adhesive properties:
- Very good adhesion to various plastics (PC / ABS, PMMA, PBT), black print, glass, metal (Al and Mg)

Head-up displays
DELO has developed special adhesives with properties that allow fast production processes to optimally bond various components within head-up displays such freeform mirrors and housings in automotive applications.

Picture generation unit (PGU)
These are adhesives engineered especially for bonding optical elements in picture generation units (PGU) such as active alignment components, lenses, mirrors, and prisms.

HMI/operating (control) elements
For bonding operating and control elements such as knobs and buttons, including those that act as both, specialized DELO adhesives are also available.

Housing sealing

Edge sealing
DELO offers several adhesives for edge sealing.
Fast processing by light curing with options to dual curing (light and heat or light and humidity) for the curing in the shadow area.

Optical Bonding
Suitable adhesives are offered for the optical bonding of displays and functional structural components in industrial applications.
Each interface (glass/air or air/glass) reflects ~4 % of the incident light
Index-matched adhesives reduce total reflection from ~12 % to ~4 %
Adhesive properties:
- Optically clear transparency
- Low stress on display due to low hardness
- Fast processing via light curing in transparent areas
- Curing in shadowed areas by a secondary curing mechanism
- Resistance to shock, vibrations and impact loads
