The school year at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg began for mechanical engineering students with exciting guest lectures from the DELO Academy. These sessions provided valuable insights into the world of adhesive technology.
In sessions lasting 1.5 hours each, one of our academy lecturers presented "Fundamentals of Adhesive Technology and Surface Treatment" and "Design and Processes." These lectures were filled with practical examples and firsthand personal experiences.
Their core takeaways were highly valuable for the students, as adhesives are gaining more and more importance in the industry. A deep understanding of their applications and practical uses opens the door to new perspectives for students in their future careers. The increased student interest was evident through attentive listening and active participation.
In addition to theory, students had the opportunity to experience various electronic components firsthand. Components such as the electric motor, display, smart card, and RFID were examined. During the subsequent practical session, they were able to apply their newly acquired knowledge directly.
By the end of the lecture, there was a noticeable increase in interest in internships and thesis projects at DELO. The excitement and knowledge about adhesive technology clearly transferred from the lecturers to the students.
Moving forward, the DELO Academy looks forward to further opportunities to engage in educating pupils, students, and trainees. Such initiatives aim to sustainably promote both knowledge transfer and enthusiasm for technical careers.
Through the DELO Academy, DELO actively collaborates with universities, colleges, and even schools. Our aim is to promote education and research in the field of modern materials and bonding technologies. Partnerships with educational institutions enable us to inspire young talents in the field of bonding technology and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
