We are thrilled to welcome more and more "returnees" at DELO. Over 40 former employees have found their way back to us after trying a different job, pursuing studies, or taking a break. Many stay in touch with us during their absence, and we greatly value this connection. Two excellent examples of returnees are Theresa from Marketing and Wolfgang from Process Optimization:
"It was clear that I could come back before I even left," Theresa reflects on her two-month break from DELO. After a year with the trade fair and event team in the marketing department, she temporarily stepped away. At the time, she didn’t fully recognize the potential of her position. Additionally, her supervisor went on maternity leave, and the second team member moved to another department—too many changes for Theresa all at once. "In my last week at work, the CEO personally asked if there was anything that could change my decision," says Theresa. "That left a lasting impression on me." When she did leave, she asked her new boss to hold her position on standby.
At her new job, she quickly realized what she valued about DELO: " I find our team really cool; the people are young and enthusiastic. They bring in ideas, and there’s a strong emphasis on collaboration and a campus-like atmosphere." It's clear from the company’s spirit that they’re focused on growth—within an innovative and secure field. Theresa conducts her day-to-day business in English and enjoys the international environment: "You encounter different cultures, and I'm excited to engage with them." Her job and DELO are exactly the right fit for her.
"I wanted to return for a long time and was glad to get my foot back in the door," Wolfgang recalls about his return to DELO. He first joined as a technical process engineering employee in 2013. In 2015, he left to attend master craftsman school. By now, Wolfgang holds a master craftsman qualification in precision mechanics and has gained a few years of experience at other companies. Throughout this time, he maintained good relationships with his former supervisors, colleagues, and the HR department at DELO.
Why is he satisfied at DELO today? "I learn a lot and am thoroughly challenged. What excites me is the diversity in process optimization: I I can plan my day as I wish, and yet it always turns out differently." As an employer, DELO just resonates with him, "the economic strength, the clear structures. I really enjoy going to work." The cherry on top is his colleagues: “We have a great office. Everyone helps each other here.”
