Clean rooms are unique manufacturing settings in that their compliance restrictions are especially high. Namely, there can be no external influence in laminar air flow within the room. This makes it hard for standard UV curing lamps, which are often fan-cooled. DELOLUX 204, however, is water-cooled, allowing the benefits of UV curing to be leveraged in a clean room setting.
The DELOLUX 204 also operates as two different wavelengths, offering additional benefits. Adhesives with dual-initiator technology, where one wavelength is used for preactivation and the other for fixing the fillet in place, can be cured with just one lamp. Alternatively, this lamp can be used if several UV-curing adhesives with different wavelengths are used on just one production line.
Just as there is no single universal adhesive for every material, there is also a need for individual curing solutions. In the field of light curing, DELO not only offers a wide range of area and spot lamps that can be combined to suit differently sized irradiation areas, but it also offers variable cooling concepts tailored to customers' production conditions.
In the case of DELOLUX 204, DELO designed it for a leading security document supplier for use in clean rooms. The lamp is based on the already proven DELOLUX 20 but works with water cooling instead of air cooling.
In clean rooms, there can be no influence on the continuous laminar air flow. For this reason, DELO removed the original fan and replaced it with a new external cooling profile based on water cooling.
As an addition, this lamp features a mixed wavelength by using LEDs with both 365 nm and 400 nm wavelengths.
