Voice coil motors (VCMs) have been an important part of smartphone camera modules for years. VCMs support features such as image stabilization and auto-focus. With the newly developed DELO DUALBOND LT2221 adhesive, you get a universal bonding material for over 50 applications in VCM manufacturing. As the adhesive already cures at +60° C, you won’t need as much energy as competitive products. In addition, the temperature-sensitive substrates in VCMs are only subjected to minimal stress.
VCMs are extremely small motors. Their components are only a few millimeters in size and are usually made of temperature-sensitive materials. Their production aligns with strict temperature and quality requirements, which spurs demand for the right adhesive. With DELO DUALBOND LT2221, we present a purpose-built dual-curing adhesivecharacterized by its low curing temperature, a solution for many applications in consumer electronics
This low-viscosity product enables very fine bondlines, allowing you to join very tiny components. With a compression shear strength of up to 8 MPa on LCP, the adhesive is as strong as it is versatile.
To make your production processes even more efficient, DELO DUALBOND LT2221 can be fixed with light. Combined with DELOLUX high-power lamps, you can fix components with light in just 0.5 seconds after joining—especially advantageous considering the many bonds within a VCM. Curing of non-translucent areas is typically carried out in 90 minutes at +60 °C via heat curing.
