DELO PHOTOBOND LA achieves handling strength in minutes instead of hours

DELO's advanced DELO PHOTOBOND LA formulations solve the fundamental bottleneck facing manufacturers. While traditional silicones and established light-activatable solutions need up to one hour to reach handling strength, the new light-curable adhesives generation achieves this in minutes.
The technology builds on proven silane-modified polymer chemistry with light activation at 400 nm or 460 nm. After one hour, the adhesives reach 1.1 MPa compared to 0.2 MPa for previous solutions, while maintaining essential flexibility for stress-sensitive optical applications.
The new formulations excel in both mirror bonding and cover window bonding applications critical for LiDAR systems. Despite accelerated strength development, the Young's modulus remains consistently low across the automotive operating temperature range, preventing stress in precision optical components.
For closed optical systems, outgassing performance has been significantly improved. This makes the adhesives ideal for automotive LiDAR applications where optical clarity is paramount.
