For the students of the bachelor's program about mechanical engineering and material technology of the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, the new year started with two interesting guest lectures given by the DELO Academy. In 1.5 h each, a lecturer of the DELO Academy supplemented the lecture about machine elements by the lectures "Basics of bonding technology and surface treatment" and "Adhesive-friendly design and processes", filled with many examples and practical experience.

In addition to the theoretical basics, the interested students could examine various components used in e-motors, smart cards or RFID. Afterwards, they did finger-wrestling with bonded components. At the end of the lecture, the interest in practical semesters and final papers at DELO was great and the enthusiasm for bonding clearly increased.
