Data protection information on the handling of application data by DELO

DELO Industrie Klebstoffe GmbH & Co KGaA, hereinafter referred to as "DELO", takes the protection of your personal data seriously and adheres strictly to the rules of data protection laws. Your data will be treated as strictly confidential and protected against unauthorized access or manipulation by technical and organizational measures.

The following statement gives you an overview of how we guarantee the protection of your application data and what type of data is processed for what purpose in the application process.

Application form

You have the opportunity to apply for advertised positions or send us an unsolicited application via an application form in our job portal (accessible via the job vacancies section of our website). The personal data you provide as part of your application, in particular your name, your contact details, your CV, your letter of application and other content provided by you will be used exclusively for the recruitment process and will only be made accessible to the persons involved and authorized. As a rule, the relevant employees in the HR department, the management and the specialist department responsible for your desired position are involved and authorized. If you submit an unsolicited application, your documents may be forwarded to all those specialist departments that may be interested in your application. All employees entrusted with data processing are obliged to protect the confidentiality of your data.

We use the external service provider Workday Ltd (Ireland) to process your application data. This processing is carried out as part of order processing and serves to improve our recruiting process. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties. The legal basis for processing is Section 26 (1) sentence 1 BDSG and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Cross-border data transmission

If you apply for one of our international locations, we would like to point out that your personal data will be transferred across international borders. You have the right to obtain information at any time as to whether employees abroad have received your application and in which countries these employees are based. The transfer of your data may vary depending on the specific job offer. For more detailed information about the countries in which your application may be reviewed, you can contact our Data Protection Officer (datenschutz@DELO.de).

Storage of your application data

Your personal data will generally be automatically deleted six (6) months after notification of rejection. This does not apply if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, if further storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence or if you have expressly consented to longer storage. Further processing on the basis of your consent is possible in the following cases:

Consideration for further posts

If you have selected the corresponding option in the application form, the responsible employees in the HR department will also compare your application data with comparable vacancies during the application process. For this purpose, your data may be made available to the additionally relevant specialist departments to the extent necessary. Of course, we will try to give priority to your original request.

Talent pool

Unfortunately, we cannot offer all applicants the desired position immediately. However, it is very important to DELO to stay in contact with interesting applicants so that we can offer you a position promptly. With your consent, the data you provide as part of your application will therefore be stored for a total period of 24 months after inclusion in our talent pool. During this period, only the employees responsible for you in the HR department will have access to your data in order to determine your suitability for vacancies. If we find a suitable position for you, you will then be contacted by the responsible HR employee to find out whether you would like to be considered for the position. Only if you respond positively will your data be forwarded to the relevant specialist department. As it is not necessary to reapply in this way, we ask you to inform us of any changes to your data. Of course, you can request deletion from the talent pool at any time.

Revocation of consent 

You can revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR by e-mail (datenschutz@DELO.de). The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
