SMEs play an important role in the dynamic world of manufacturing. As a renowned high-tech adhesive manufacturing company, DELO has proven time and again that innovation paired with the agility of SMEs, are a perfect recipe for global success.
One platform that underlines our importance is the Chemistry & Pharma Summit, which took place this year on September 12. Owner and Managing Partner Sabine Herold was in attendance, as well as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. As a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI), Sabine Herold is also a strong advocate for many other medium-sized industrial companies.
Mrs. Herold regularly uses her role to address key issues and challenges facing German industry. She is resolutely committed to reducing bureaucratic hurdles and improving business conditions for German industrial companies. Particularly pressing are enormous energy costs, which place an extraordinary burden on German companies and, on a global scale, put them at a competitive disadvantage. Though DELO is not an energy-intensive company, it is committed to an internationally level playing field. DELO’s involvement in these topics clearly shows that it is not only a pioneer in adhesive technology but is also regarded as a committed policy voice.
Mrs. Herold looks back positively on the event: "Our impression is that politicians are finally listening to the concerns and needs of German industry. But now they have to turn words into action and really improve these conditions."
